Worthington Ohio is a northern suburb of Columbus located due north of the capital on state route 23, also known as High Street.  The population of Worthington is approximately 15,000 residents with a median age of 43 years old.  Worthington was founded in 1803 by the Scioto Company, which was led by James Kilbourne, who later was elected to the US House of Representatives.  

Worthington covers a relatively small area of just over 5.5 square miles of land.  Worthington is known for its quaint downtown and was one of the Midwest's first planned communities, which has been a tremendous success as seen by the strong sense of community pride, thriving small business, and strong real estate appreciation.

The median home price in Worthington is $385,900 and consists primarily of single family residences.  Worthington is known for having all the conveniences of a big city, while maintaining its small town charm.

Those visiting Worthington need to be sure to join the locals on Saturdays for the traditional farmers market gathering, something the whole family can enjoy.  Also, as of 2010, the Worthington Historic district has been recognized in the National Register of Historic places.
